Victor Valley Transit Authority Makes Plans For The ‘Firecracker Express’

The sky above Barstow, CA, will light up again this Fourth of July. In response, the Victor Valley Transit Authority will provide public transportation to and from the 26th Annual Fireworks Spectacular at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sportspark. The annual event will begin at 5 p.m. on the Fourth of July, and roads will be closed in and around the event. Due to limited parking, the City of Barstow has partnered with Victor Valley Transit for the second year in a row to bring residents the “Firecracker Express” bus service, providing free transportation to and from this event.

The Barstow Fireworks Spectacular will include live music, bounce houses, inflatable waterslides, and other children’s activities. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. Return bus service will start at 9:30 p.m. Victor Valley Transit has set up a dedicated webpage with complete detailed information on this specialty service. Those needing the service are encouraged to visit www.vvta.org/firecracker23.

Direct Access passengers wishing to attend the event may reserve free rides to the Sportspark by calling 760-244-4000 no later than 5 p.m. on July 3.

“We are thrilled to once again unite with VVTA in our shared endeavor, as they graciously offer complimentary transportation to our Barstow residents for the highly anticipated 26th Annual Firework Spectacular,” James Noble, Vice Chair of the Victor Valley Transit Board of Directors and Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Barstow, said. “This renewed partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing community experiences, ensuring the joy and convenience of our residents as they partake in this momentous event.”
