ABC Companies And Proterra Announce Upcoming Launch Of Motorcoach Charging Facility

ABC Companies and Proterra have announced the upcoming launch of what both companies are describing as, “The Largest Private Motorcoach Charging Facility In North America.” The event will begin at 10 a.m. on July 19 at ABC Companies’ Newark, CA, facility, located at 7980 Enterprise Drive, Newark, CA 94560.

Attendees will experience and learn what it takes to deploy a 1.5MW facility capable of DC fast charging 40 motorcoaches. It is the first of its kind project between ABC Companies, Proterra and PG&E. The main objective of the multi-year project is to accelerate zero emissions passenger transportation.

Participants will also be able to see and ride a fully electric Van Hool TDX25E 45’ Double Deck Motorcoach that is capable of over 260 miles per charge and seats up to 69 passengers.

Those in attendance will include members of the press; government officials; zero emission organizational leaders; representatives from ABC Companies, Proterra, and PG&E; and others focused on driving to zero emissions.
