APTA Names Christiana Cameron As Chief Financial Officer

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) has announced the newest member of its senior leadership team. Christiana Cameron will become APTA’s chief financial officer.

“We are excited that Christiana will be joining APTA to lead our finance and information technology departments,” APTA President & CEO Paul P. Skoutelas said. “Her extensive experience in all phases of financial management in the private and non-profit sectors will serve APTA and our industry well.”

Cameron most recently served as the chief financial officer of Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) in Washington, D.C. In that role, she was responsible for finance, accounting, budgeting, internal controls, audit, IT, human resources, risk management and contracts.

Prior to joining ITS America, she was the principal of Beckwith Cameron, LLC, providing strategic and operational expertise to diverse clients. She also served as vice president of finance and administration for America’s Natural Gas Alliance managing internal operations, including accounting and finance, human resources, contracts, facilities, and IT.

Cameron earned a master’s in business administration from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s in history from Gonzaga University. She lives in Arlington, VA, with her husband and their three teenagers and spaniel.
