The Bay Area Transportation Authority (of Traverse City, MI) is partnering with the Interlochen Center for the Arts to provide transportation to popular events at Interlochen’s Summer Concert Series. The goal of the partnership is to reduce traffic and parking congestion and encourage people to use alternative transportation.

The cost to ride is $5 per person roundtrip. Riders will be dropped off at the front gate with a short walk to the event venue. Upcoming concerts include:

  • July 13 — Norah Jones,
  • July 16 — Jason Mraz,
  • July 26 — 311,
  • Aug. 5 — Jewel and Melissa Etheridge,
  • Additional dates and shows may be added based on demand and resource availability.

Advanced reservations are required and can be made by e-mailing info@bata.net or calling BATA’s Customer Service at 231-941-2324 and requesting a ride on the Interlochen Concert Bus.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this service again so riders can leave their vehicles at home and enjoy a summer concert at the Interlochen Center for the Arts,” Eric Lingaur, Communications and Development Director at BATA, said.
