Bud Geissler, Jr., Named 2024 ABA Marketplace Chairman

The American Bus Association (ABA) has announced the appointment of Bud Geissler, Jr., president of GroupCollect, in Panama City, FL, as the 2024 ABA Marketplace Chairman. The event will take place in Nashville, TN, on Jan. 13-16, 2024.

“Bud is a legend in the group tour and travel industry, and we are excited to bring his energy and knowledge to ABA’s Marketplace,” ABA President & CEO Peter Pantuso said.

“Geissler has spent more than 25 years working as a tour operator in the student travel industry. He believes that travel is an integral and transformative piece of every child’s education.

In addition to his work in the student sector, Geissler has presented throughout the U.S. on a myriad of travel topics, including group planning, the role of emerging technology in travel, safety protocol, and how to grow your footprint in the group travel marketplace. He also participated with ABA’s Meetings Advisory Committee for several years, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to chair the 2024 Marketplace in Nashville,” according to a press release.

“I’m honored and humbled to be part of such an inspiring event,” Geissler said. “Marketplace is a pivotal forum for conversations and relationships within the industry, and Nashville always does a great job making everyone feel welcome!”
