Stella Li

Stella Li, Co-CEO of RIDE and CEO of BYD Americas, was named as one of the 100 influential leaders driving real climate action in business by being selected on the TIME100 Climate list.

“Li is a pioneer of battery-electric technology and a passionate leader dedicated to combatting climate change. With her extensive knowledge and background in sustainable and innovative solutions, she is working hard toward building a better, cleaner future for all,” according to a press release.

“I believe it’s crucial for the world to continue promoting the massification of electromobility, which allows us to have efficient and non-polluting transportation, improving people’s quality of life,” Li told Time Magazine.

Li will continue to apply her knowledge and leadership insight with BYD’s U.S. spinoff, RIDE Mobility, which has more than 1,000 vehicles on the road or in production in the United States.

“Together, BYD | RIDE is creating hundreds of American jobs, making battery-electric buses that are helping to clean our air while improving efficiency and the bottom line for its customers,” the release added.

“Overall, we consider the most effective climate polices to be those that incentivize a shift to cleaner energy, encourage technological innovation, and facilitate the transition of infrastructure,” Li said. “These solutions must also be accessible and affordable for all. We believe these factors will bring about a real and lasting change in how we treat our planet.”
