Cincinnati Metro Awarded Government Finance Officers Association Award Of Excellence

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Cincinnati Metro for its annual comprehensive financial report.

The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

“We are extremely proud of our finance team and the diligent work they do every day to be responsible stewards of the financial investment our community continues to make in us,” Cincinnati Metro CEO Darryl Haley said. “This is now the 32nd consecutive year that we have received this award in recognition of our diligence.”

“The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management,” according to a press release.

Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority. Learn more about Metro at www.go-metro.com.
