DATTCO, Inc., a family-owned motorcoach and school bus company based in New Britain, CT, has announced its expansion into Central Massachusetts with the acquisition of a 48.4-acre industrial property in Millbury, MA.

“The move marks a major step in DATTCO’s continued growth and commitment to serving communities across New England with safe, reliable, and community-focused transportation solutions,” according to a press release. “The newly acquired property features a 17,120-square-foot building and maintenance facility with five garage bays, office space, and additional industrial parcels. The expanded facility will enable DATTCO to grow its fleet capacity, modernize operations, and better serve the transportation needs of schools, universities, and organizations across Central Massachusetts.

“This expansion represents much more than a new facility — it’s an investment in people, progress, and community,” DATTCO President Donald DeVivo said. “We’re thrilled to bring our family-owned values and decades of transportation expertise to this dynamic region. The Millbury facility allows us to expand our operations, create good-paying local jobs, and deliver the dependable service that has defined DATTCO for over a century.”

The release added: “DATTCO currently partners with leading regional institutions including Assumption University, Nichols College, Dean College, and the Worcester Railers. The new facility will strengthen those partnerships while allowing DATTCO to expand its charter and school bus services throughout Central Massachusetts.”
