Distinctive Systems Appoints New Managing Director, Expands Development Team

Distinctive Systems, a provider of management software for the motorcoach, bus and tour operator industry, has announced the appointment of Chris Whitehead as its new Managing Director. In addition, the company has expanded its development team with the recruitment of two senior developers.

Whitehead has more than 25 years of experience at Distinctive Systems, having joined the company in a support role before moving into software development following his graduation with a computing degree in 2001.

Reflecting on his appointment, Whitehead said: “I am extremely honored to take on the role of Managing Director. My father, who sadly passed away earlier this year, built a business that we can all be proud of. It has grown from strength to strength every year and I am looking forward to continuing this legacy.”

As Managing Director, Whitehead will oversee the company’s strategic direction, operations and future growth.

The announcement comes as the company also accelerates development of its next-generation cloud-based system. To support this, the company has welcomed two new senior full-stack developers, bringing the cloud development team to five.
