Carlos Cornejo

ElDorado National California Inc. (ENC), a U.S.-based transit bus manufacturer and subsidiary of Rivaz Inc., has announced the promotion of Carlos Cornejo as Senior Regional Sales Manager for the Western United States.

Cornejo, who rejoined ENC in November 2024, is responsible for leading strategic sales efforts, market expansion initiatives, and customer partnerships throughout the Western region. His role will also involve working closely with ENC’s direct-to-client engagement strategy throughout the country as well.

“With nearly 15 years of experience in transportation, Cornejo brings a unique blend of operational and sales expertise to ENC,” according to a press release. “He began his career as a wheel vehicle and diesel mechanic in the U.S. Army, overseeing fleet and equipment maintenance, and later advanced into roles across diesel technology, business development, and regional sales management.”

His career includes leadership positions at Valley Power Systems and Engineered Machined Products, as well as experience in sustainable transportation solutions during his time at ChargePoint.

“It’s a true privilege to be back at ENC during such an exciting time for the company and the transit industry,” Cornejo said. “Having started my career turning wrenches on military vehicles, I deeply understand the importance of reliable, mission-ready equipment. ENC’s commitment to quality, innovation, and American manufacturing aligns with everything I value. I’m honored to help deliver solutions that transit agencies can trust to perform day in and day out.”

Cornejo’s breadth of experience across fleet maintenance, powertrain systems, and zero-emission mobility gives him a comprehensive perspective on customer needs and operational realities. He is a bilingual Spanish speaker and an advocate for customer-first, forward-thinking transportation solutions.

“Carlos brings an authentic passion for the transit industry, backed by years of hands-on experience and a tireless commitment to customers,” Dan Trujillo, Vice President of Sales, said. “His leadership and knowledge of both legacy and emerging technologies make him an invaluable asset as we work with agencies across the West to deliver dependable, Buy America-compliant vehicles.”

The release added: “Cornejo’s appointment supports ENC’s continued resurgence, as the company prepares to resume production and deliveries in June 2025. ENC is actively accepting orders for its full portfolio of Altoona-tested buses, including battery-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, CNG, and clean diesel models, all manufactured end-to-end at the company’s Riverside, CA, facility.”
