Greg J. Nichols

Keolis North America (Keolis) has announced the closing of its acquisition of Pacific Western Transportation’s (PWT) transit and motorcoach business lines from Student Transportation of America, Inc. Keolis has also announced that Greg J. Nichols has been appointed Keolis’ president and chief operating officer (COO) for all Canadian business lines.

The completion of the acquisition follows the receipt of the requisite regulatory approvals from the Competition Bureau of Canada.

Nichols has more than 20 years of experience in passenger transit and inter-city motorcoach operations, safety and security, fleet maintenance, facility management, customer service, and transportation technology. He previously served as PWT’s president of transit and motorcoach.

The release added: “Since 2002, Keolis has grown to be one of the largest operators of transportation services in Canada. As of the deal’s closing, Keolis has more than 800 buses, coaches and tram vehicles in operation in Canada.

“Keolis provides urban transport and motorcoach services to more than 60 communities in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Québec.
