MCI Names Tim Barnes Vice President Of Private Sector Sales

Tim Barnes

Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. (NFI), has announced the appointment of Tim Barnes as Vice President of Private Sector Sales, MCI.

Barnes assumes the role previously held by Tom Wagner, who was promoted earlier this year to lead all private sector commercial operations for MCI under the company’s Project Focus initiative. Barnes will report to Wagner and oversee new coach sales and customer relationships across North America’s private market.

“Tim’s deep industry experience, strong customer relationships, and commitment to service excellence make him the ideal leader to take our private sector sales team forward,” Wagner said. “Having worked closely with him during his tenure at NFI Parts, I know he brings a collaborative, customer-first mindset that our operators will appreciate.”

Barnes brings over 25 years of experience in the heavy-duty vehicle market. Most recently, he served as Director of Parts, Sales and Customer Service — Private Sector at NFI Parts, where he led a national team serving motorcoach operators with timely, personalized aftermarket support. Prior to joining NFI Parts, Barnes held leadership positions in parts, service, and training at heavy-duty OEMs and supplier organizations.

“It is both humbling and an honor to take this position,” Barnes said. “The MCI brand is such an iconic part of the motorcoach industry and there have been many legendary MCI sales leaders over the decades. I look forward to working with our incredible customers and supporting the talented sales professionals who represent MCI every day.”

Barnes is based in Indianapolis, IN, and can be reached at tim.barnes@mcicoach.com.
