Starting March 17, Metro’s (Cincinnati, OH) on-demand service, MetroNow!, will expand its existing zones and service times in the Northgate/Mt. Healthy and Springdale/Sharonville areas. First launched in May 2023, MetroNow! has experienced consistent increases in both new ridership and overall usage each month, prompting the need for expanding services.

The Northgate/Mt. Healthy zone will extend to the south, which includes service to the Clovernook Center for the Blind and the TriHealth Finneytown locations. Also, the zone will extend west, serving the Colerain Senior Center and to the north to serve Rumpke.

The Springdale/Sharonville zone will extend west into portions of Forest Park, providing service to the Forest Park Kroger, and extending southeast to include portions of Lincoln Heights.

Both zones will also expand service hours — adding one hour to weekdays and three hours to weekends and holidays. MetroNow! services will now operate weekdays between 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and weekends and holidays between 8 a.m.-9 p.m.

“Riders have provided valuable feedback on how MetroNow! fits into their life, and overwhelmingly, that feedback has been that our customers want more of it,” Brandy Jones, Metro’s SVP of External Affairs, said. “With these updates, we’re certain that MetroNow! will continue to be a game-changer for individuals accessing jobs, education, health care, groceries, family, entertainment and more, and we look forward to future expansions.”

The service will remain operating at the rate of $2 per trip. Customers traveling within either of the two zones can book their trips through the MetroNow! app or by calling 513-551-5555. A MetroNow! shuttle-style vehicle will arrive at or within a short walk from their location.

Additional zones are planned for launch throughout Hamilton County in 2024-25 including:

  • Blue Ash/Evendale;
  • Bond Hill/Roselawn;
  • Montfort Heights/Finneytown; and,
  • Pleasant Run North.
